It was wonderful to welcome our Silverhawks back to school! 🦅 Students kicked off the day with a Talking Circle, sharing stories about their adventures and experiences over the break.

We’re excited to announce that Book Blast is bringing the joy of reading straight to our students! This program helps put brand-new books into kids’ hands while also creating meaningful experiences that inspire a lifelong love for reading.

Every child deserves the chance to build their own home library and discover the magic that comes with opening a new book. With Book Blast, our students aren’t just receiving books—they’re stepping into new worlds, new ideas, and new adventures!

Graphing Fun in the Gym! Our students took math to the gym this week, working together to plot coordinates on a giant floor graph! With teamwork, movement, and lots of learning, they brought graphing to life in a fun, hands-on way. Check out the photo of our young mathematicians in action!

Desertaire Elementary has made the Texas Honor Roll for demonstrating comprehensively higher performance on the STAAR reading language arts and math assessments, as well as improving outcomes for historically underserved student populations. Way to go Silverhawks!
